Insurance and your certificate of insurance
Buy exhibitor liability insurance through Vertical Insure, or upload the certificate of insurance you already have.
Many shows require exhibitors to carry liability insurance. Map D works with Vertical Insure so you can either buy a policy for the show or upload the certificate of insurance (COI) you already have.
You see Manage insurance on your profile row when your show uses this, and either insurance is required or you have already started.
Buy a policy or upload your certificate
Select Manage insurance
On My Profiles, select Manage insurance on the row for your show.
Complete your contact details, if asked
Vertical Insure needs a full contact name, email and mailing address. If any are missing, fill them in and select Continue to insurance options.
Choose an option
Buy a policy through Vertical Insure, or upload your existing certificate of insurance. A policy is paid to Vertical Insure directly, not through the show's checkout.
Once you have coverage, the window shows your policy number, premium and coverage dates, and a Download COI link.
Insurance statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not started | No policy or certificate yet. |
| Purchase pending | Your policy purchase is being processed. |
| Policy purchased | You bought a policy. You are covered. |
| COI needs review | You uploaded a certificate and it is waiting to be checked. |
| COI valid or COI approved | Your certificate is accepted. |
| COI rejected | Your certificate was not accepted. Upload a new one, or buy a policy. |
| Purchase canceled or Declined offer | You have no policy. If insurance is required, you still need one. |
| Deferred | You chose to decide later. |
If your onboarding checklist includes a Certificate of insurance task, it follows this status and completes by itself.
