Dynamic Pricing dashboard and activity
See the additional revenue Dynamic Pricing earned, every price change and why it happened, and export the report.
The Dynamic Pricing dashboard shows how much extra revenue Dynamic Pricing has earned, and the Activity page lists every price change and why it happened. Open them from Dynamic Pricing in the sidebar, then Dashboard or Activity.
They are available to people with report access to the show, and to Map D staff. Changing the settings is a separate permission, so some people see the reports but not Settings. See Dynamic Pricing for the settings.
The dashboard
The headline number is Additional Revenue Generated. You set a minimum price for each booth. When a booth sells for more than its minimum because Dynamic Pricing raised it, the difference is what Dynamic Pricing earned. The figure is recorded at the moment of each sale, so it does not change if you edit a minimum later. Canceled orders and carts that were never submitted are not counted.
Under the headline, Sales with and without Dynamic Pricing shows how much the feature earned you. It appears once Dynamic Pricing has been switched on, and it compares only from that day. By day shows each day that had sales, up to the last 30. Days before Dynamic Pricing was on are a single grey bar, because there is nothing to compare. From the day it went live, each day has two bars side by side: grey for the revenue at the prices you set and teal for the revenue with Dynamic Pricing. The gap between them is the extra revenue, and a teal line with the label Dynamic Pricing on from and the date marks the day it went on, with a soft teal background behind every day after it. Running total follows both over time, with a shaded band for the extra revenue that starts on that day. View as table lists each day's sales, revenue at your prices, revenue with Dynamic Pricing and the extra.
Below the chart are these tiles, with the Dynamic Pricing results first and the figures for all sales last:
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Revenue lift | The extra revenue as a percent of the revenue at minimum prices. |
| Booth revenue lift | The extra revenue earned on booths. |
| Sponsorship revenue lift | The extra revenue earned on sponsorships. |
| Dynamically priced sales | How many sales were at a price Dynamic Pricing raised. |
| Average price increase | The average extra amount on those sales. |
| Highest price increase | The largest extra amount on one sale. |
| Map D revenue share | Shown when Map D takes a share. Map D's share of the extra revenue, which Map D invoices separately. |
| Additional revenue you keep | Shown with the share. The extra revenue after Map D's share. |
| Current average booth price | The average price of the booths still for sale right now. |
| Price adjustments | How many times Dynamic Pricing raised a price, and how many you lowered. |
| Total sales revenue (all sales) | What all your booth and sponsorship sales brought in, whether or not Dynamic Pricing raised their prices. It stays visible when Dynamic Pricing is off, so you can still see past revenue. |
| Revenue at minimum prices | What the same sales would have brought at their minimum prices. |
At the top of the page, View activity opens the Activity page. Settings opens the settings if you can manage sales. Export opens a small window: choose Price changes or Sales, choose CSV or Excel, then select Download. On the dashboard it is in the More menu, and on the Activity page it is a button at the top.
The Activity page
Activity lists every price change, newest first. Use the search box to find a booth or sponsorship. Narrow the list with Action (raised or lowered), Trigger, Floor plan, Type, Zone and Sale, which sit in a tidy grid under the search box. The date and amount filters are behind Date and amount filters: From and To dates, Smallest increase (%) and Smallest revenue earned. Zone appears when the show has premium zones. Sale shows booths that have sold since the change, or booths that have not sold yet. Smallest revenue earned shows items whose sale went on to earn at least that much extra revenue, so an item raised twice shows the revenue of its sale on both rows. Active filters appear above the table, and each one can be removed on its own.
For each change the table shows when it happened, the item and its floor plan, the previous and new price, and the trigger. Select Details to see the minimum price, how far above the minimum the new price is, Why it changed, What it was based on, and the Price history of that booth from its starting price to now. What it was based on lists the rule that fired, how much had sold and how many were left, the premium zone, any location or neighbour factors that made the step larger, the approved limit, whether Map D applied the change or you did, the extra revenue on its sale once it has sold, and the configuration version.
Prices that you lowered yourself, by turning Dynamic Pricing off or lowering the maximum increase, appear here too, marked as lowered. Dynamic Pricing itself only ever raises prices.
Export
Price changes downloads the changes shown by your filters, with the minimum, previous and new price, the premium zone, the trigger, the rules used, the sales and inventory considered, the location and neighbour factors, the approved limit, whether it was applied automatically, the reason, the revenue earned on the sale and the configuration version. Sales downloads every sale Dynamic Pricing earned something on, with the minimum at the time of sale, the price sold at, the revenue, and Map D's share with the percentage it was made under, whatever the filters say. The Excel file is a workbook with a frozen header row. A company name that starts with an equals sign or a similar character is kept as text, so it can never run as a formula.
