Your exhibitor portal invite

Why you got an email from Map D, who sent it, and what the button in it does.

Your show organizer uses Map D to run their exhibitor program. When they invite you, or when you buy a booth online, Map D emails you a link to your exhibitor portal, the place where you manage your company's profile and details for the show.

What the email looks like

The exhibitor portal invitation email with the show name, the Set up your portal button and a link to the help center

The subject is You're invited to your exhibitor portal and the heading is Exhibitor Portal Invitation. It names the show and, if one has been assigned, your booth. Your organizer may add their own message and links to show documents.

The email has one button:

  • Set up your portal if you are new to Map D. It takes you to a short setup page where you choose a password. See Set up your account and password.
  • Sign in if you already have a Map D account. It takes you to the login page, and after you sign in you land on your exhibitor profile for this show.

If your account moved over from your previous platform and you haven't signed in since, you get Set up your portal: you choose your password on the setup page, like someone new.

Why you received it

You got this email for one of two reasons:

  • Your show organizer added your company to their show and invited you to the portal.
  • You bought a booth on the show's registration page and your order was confirmed. Map D sends the invite automatically so you can finish your profile.

The invite goes to your company's administrative contact email, or to the email your organizer assigned for portal access.

Can't find the email

  • Check your spam, junk or promotions folder for a message with the subject above.
  • Ask a colleague whether it went to a shared inbox, such as the address you used on your booth order.
  • Ask your show organizer to resend the invite. They can also change which email address it goes to.

Is this email genuine

The invite is sent by Map D on behalf of your show organizer, and the button links to the Map D website. Map D never asks for your password or payment details by email. If you are unsure, contact your show organizer directly using contact details you already have.
